In partnership with our sister company, Dovetail Group, CR Lewis own a range of machinery that we look after and maintain on a weekly basis. We can provide plant and machinery hire to organisations that need it throughout Solihull and surrounding areas. We can help with the delivery and collection of the hire and even provide an engineer to operate the machinery for you at an additional cost.

CR Lewis have proudly delivered Waste Management Services in Solihull and surrounding areas for over 20 years now. In more recent years we have made it our mission to embed ourselves within the local communities and use our family foundations as the forefront of our business.
Through our sister company, Dovetail Group, we collectively own a large range of machinery that we use each week for various jobs and contracts we have running. Because of this, it is in our best interest to keep our machinery maintained properly with regular checks as we have an onsite mechanic that covers this for us every day. This is machinery we will be using to uphold our reputation on jobs all throughout Solihull, so it is machinery you can trust.
With the large range of machinery, we now have access to, we are able to hire a lot of it out as it’s not all needed, and our jobs tend to be booked months in advance.
What machinery do you need to hire?
If you have any small domestic jobs, and you need to do some small scale excavating, CR Lewis are able to provide mini digger hire delivery to ensure you are up and running.
Our Arjes 270 Impakt Shredder is perfect for onsite Waste Processing wehen you are doing large waste clearances to help remove bulk amounts of waste. CR Lewis are able to prepare and deliver the shredder to your site.
How Our Plant hire works
The first step to book your machinery is to either call us, email us or fill out a contact form on the website. From here we'll confirm what machinery you want, and where in Solihull, Coventry or Meriden you are based to book the Delivery
After confirming the necessary details with you, we will organise an appointment to deliver your machinery to your site. We usually need a week in advance to be able to adjust to desired dates and times. Before delivering the machinery, our mechanic will carry out checks in advance for any existing damage.
You use the machinery we have provided for your project and to industry regulations to ensure Safety & Compliance is fully adhered to.
We book out the machinery in fixed durations so the collection date will already be organised for our benefit. We will call you to confirm the collection and come to your site to pick up the machinery. Our mechanic will carry out any checks for damage when the machinery is back at our yard,

if you need any large-scale works that require an expert, CR Lewis are able to deliver planned grounds & building maintenance such as rip-out works and demolitions. Our team of qualified engineers can organise a site visit to assess the health & safety of the work you need to complete, and from this assessment, we will book in a project timeline with you.
FAQ's
You are liable for any damage or loss to the equipment while it is under your hire. Fair wear & tear is expected but please note CR Lewis in house mechanics take pictures of the machinery before each hire as a benchmark for it’s return so it is vital you look after your equipment. You can read more in our Terms & Conditions.
We offer an open hire service for our machinery meaning you can have it for as long as you’d like and we will charge you at the end of the hire based on the number of days you held the machinery for. For more accurate prices please call our office on 0333 355 3222.
We do offer a planned maintenance service where you can book us for a job where we will deploy a team with the necessary equipment to complete the job for you, you can explore this on our planned maintenance page.
All plant and machinery hire is subject to having a competent operator on site and CR Lewis will not accept liability for any accident or injury that is incurred while using the machinery.
